3 1/3 cup bisquick (or pancake mix)
1 cup milk (have some extra just in case)
16 oz pizza sauce (2 cups, separated)
16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups, separated)
Favorite pizza toppings: pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, canadian bacon
-Heat oven to 375d F. Spray 9x13 pan (glass is better) with non-stick cooking spray.
-In medium bowl, stir bisquick and milk until a soft dough forms.
-Drop half of dough in spoonfuls evenly over bottom of baking dish (dough will not completely cover bottom).
-Drizzle 8oz of pizza sauce over dough. Scatter half of the selected toppings over sauce and sprinkle 8oz of cheese. Repeat with rest of ingredients.
-Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Okay, I want you to make me that!
ReplyDeleteTHat sounds horrible. Horribly good! Hey, they do have a culinary school here in MD, you know... You could apply and you'd have a place to live if you got accepted ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, I plugged it into my weight watchers site, and, using skim milk and lo-fat cheese, 7 points per serving! (1/12 of the casserole) That's with pepperoni and bell peppers. With just vegetables (or pineapple) it would be 5 poins per serving. That's very good. I'm going to make this this weekend :D Thanks!
ReplyDeletei'll have to make it next time you guys come over for dinner, krisocho.
ReplyDeleteJulia, the problem with school in MD is idk how i would pay for it. let along figuring out how i would pay for one here. But i Am considering culinary school...
This sounds similar to a recipe one of my friends made for me. You use a mix of pasta (like bowtie and spiral or whatever else you have), mix it with pizza sauce/spaghetti sauce, and then mix in anything you'd put on your pizza. She had olives, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, sausage, and the like. I think you then top it off with mozzarella cheese. It was super good, and had a different taste than pizza, but still reminiscent of it.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to try that. Sounds pretty interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis looks delish! Thanks for dropping by the Family Table Friday linky.
